Why do I do my job?
I absolutely love children.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
I always wanted to be a teacher.
What obstacles did you face growing up and how did you overcome them?
My parents couldn't help with tuition and thought a college education wasn't necessary because I was a girl so I signed the Teacher's Pledge that stipulated I had to teach in MD for 2 years after graduation. This is now my 44th year of teaching.

Majoring in Early Childhood instead of Elementary Education.
