There are many aspects of my job. I work with graphic designs, public relations, marketing and developing partnerships just to name a few.

I love having something new to work on each day. It's also really great to have a finished product at the end of the day.

Tell us about your job

How did you get your job?
I got my job by being in the right place at the right time. As I said before, sometimes you need to work up in an organization. You might not get the exact job you want right out of college.

What are the best and worst parts of your job?
The best part is being able to use my creativity to solve problems.

What is your approximate annual salary range?
$35,000 - $50,000

What perks or other tangible benefits do you get?
I get to see all of the books, CD's and DVD's when they first come in. I also get tuitions reimbursement, so my job is paying for my grad school.

Getting to where you are now

What obstacles did you face and how did you overcome them?
The biggest obstacle I faced in college was having to commute to school. I always felt like I missed something not living on campus.

What or who inspired you to really go after the professon you are in now?
My mom.

What critical choices or decisions did you make that helped you where you are today?
You have to be willing to be patient in your career. For me, that meant taking a part-time job in the department that I wanted to work in and waiting for an opportunity to advance.

What do you wish you'd known then that you know now about education after high school?
If you have a desire to go to graduate school, you should either go directly after college if you have the money, or get a job that will pay for your education.

Paying for college can be tricky in more ways than one but if you're prepared, the process can go smoothly.
